140 square miles located in Hamilton County in the heart of North Central Iowa. The school district serves the communities of Kamrar, Blairsburg and Williams. Ames and Iowa State University is 30 miles south on Highway 69.

Student Entrance Requirements:
Pupils enrolling in Kindergarten must be five years old on or before September 15 of the year in which they enroll.
All children who have an actual legal residence in the school district and meet the legal age requirements, are entitled to attend the public school unless excused, excluded, or suspended in accordance with the terms of Iowa law and policies of the Board. Children in grades K through 12, living outside the school may be admitted if Open Enrollment Application is approved by the Board.
Students living outside the district may open enroll to Northeast Hamilton Community School District by having parent's complete an open enrollment application. Parents may call the Superintendent's Office to have their questions about open enrollment answered and to get an application. You may download an application from the Department of Education Website.

Extra Curricular Activities and Athletics:
The middle and high school offer a variety of activities and athletics for all students. The district is a member of the Iowa Star Conference as well as the Iowa High School Athletic Association and the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Association.
Students enrolled in the Northeast Hamilton CSD must have certification from a licensed physician or local health department stating they have received tests and inoculations as deemed necessary by the Department of Health and Department of Education. All teachers must meet state certification requirements, and hold at least a Bachelor's Degree. All teachers must complete additional study to retain certification. Approximately 90-95% of students continue their education after graduation. Students can enroll and receive dual college and high school credit from several area community colleges and universities including Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. At present, Northeast Hamilton High School provides 18 dual and college credits to students on site.
