Hello and Welcome to the Library Page. 

A Little About Me
My name is Lisa Heiden and this is my third year working in the library at NEH. I have a BA in Elementary Education and I am currently finishing up my Masters degree in School Library Media Studies through UNI.

I have always loved books and I love working with students so as a teacher-librarian I get the best of both worlds.  Currently I meet with the elementary classes for 30 minutes each week.  During this time we discuss various literary elements, research skills, library skills, etc.  I also work with middle school and high school classes as needed to discuss citations, AEA online sources, research methods, etc.  One of the best parts of my job are the conversations I have with students after they read a book.  I love recommending books to students and I love getting recommendations from them too!  Now if only I had an indispensable amount of time to just sit and read!
