6th Gade Math

The intent on this class is to give each student the skills to apply math to real world occuppations

and situations.

Each student is expected to come to class with paper and pencil.

Each student will be graded on homework that is handed in, which will consists of assigned problems, quizzes and tests.  A quarterly grade will be attained by taking earned points and dividing by the total possible points to get a percentage.  The following percentages will be letter grade.

100                  A+

99-95               A

94-90               A-

89-87               B+

86-83               B

82-80               B-

79-77               C+

76-73               C

72-70               C-

69-67               D+

66-63               D

62-60               D-

59 or Below     F

Each student is expected to be in class on time or will be tardy.  If a student is absent, it is the STUDENT’S responsibility to contact me to get make-up work.  If a student knows they are going to be absent they may get homework assignments before they leave.

Homework is to be completed, with all work shown, by the assigned date.  If this is not possible please contact me as early as possible to make other arrangements.

Any discipline problems will be handled by me and referred to Mr. Hocking if necessary.
